The first step of the prince albert piercing procedure involves choosing a good body art parlor or piercer that is sanitary and offers a good deal of privacy during the piercing. It's also a good idea to wear boxers or freeball to help avoid sweating and constriction in this region.

After the first two weeks, you may participate in sexual activity, but make sure to always wear a condom. Participating in sexual activity while wearing a prince albert may increase the likelihood of catching and passing sexually transmitted diseases. Continue monitoring your prince albert for infection. Seek medical attention immediately if any sign of infection occurs. Although prince albert piercing's heal somewhat quickly, any infection may delay your healing time and potentially cause other unwanted complications.

About 4 to 6 months after your new prince albert is healed, you may choose to stretch the piercing.
